WHO WE ARE
The Club
The Democrats of Casa Grande is a local club made up of everyday people living in the immediate Casa Grande area and across Pinal County, AZ. We are committed to getting Democrats elected to office. Our meetings are designed to provide information by featuring interesting speakers on a wide variety of timely issuues. In addition to our monthly meetings, we invite members to participate in activities and projects designed to meet our goal of meeting other Democrats and getting Democratic candidates elected.
The Goals
Our goals are simple: to demonstrate the values upon which our nation was founded and to elect people who will do the same; to work toward maintaining and enhancing a good public education system; to ensure equal rights for all people; to promote justice and uphold the Arizona Constitution and the Constitution of the United States of America; to help those candidates who express the desire to serve our communities and state and who share these values and goals; and to uphold the values of the Democratic Party.
The Focus
In addition to meetings, speakers, and social activities, we pay close attention to state politics. With the federal government polarized into gridlock, state politics is that much more important. State lawmakers are more accessible and we can use that to our advantage. We The People have safeguards: the right to overturn bad laws through public vote, the right to recall lawmakers who aren't serving us, and the right to make our own laws via initiative. This right is constantly being undermined by the Republican Party.
